Introducing Kitties of the County, a New Catch and Release Spay/Neuter Program for Spencer County’s Feral Cats

In an effort to improve the health and wellbeing and reduce the population of feral uncared for cats in Spencer County, we are beginning a new Spay/Neuter Catch and Release program called Kitties of the County for the feral cat population of Spencer County. Cats are not only living substandard lives because of their health conditions as feral cats, but they are also posing a health risk to humans as well as spreading diseases to other cats, including intestinal parasites, feline leukemia and feline aids. Feral cats stay in heat continuously as the days get longer and they can get pregnant immediately after having a litter. Please help us in this effort. Humane live traps available to loan if needed. Call (502) 477-2966 for availability, instructions, scheduling, and to learn more about this program.
