Dr. Bension DVM, CVA, has been practicing for 24 years and has experience with a wide range of species, including companion, exotics and large animals.
Dr. Bension DVM, CVA, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tuskegee School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Dr. Bension has been practicing for 24 years and has experience with a wide range of species, including companion, exotics and large animals. He practiced nearly five years in Louisville, and in 2023 he will be celebrating 20 years at Salt River Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Bension has a wide range of experience in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and alternative therapies including acupuncture and therapeutic laser. Dr. Bension enjoys boating, riding motorcycles, reading and watching movies. He also enjoys completing his daily to-do list provided by his life/work partner, Theresa.
Theresa has worked for Salt River Veterinary Clinic for 12 years. She is also a retired Registered Nurse with over 30 years experience in the healthcare field. Theresa enjoys working with animals and helping them feel comfortable and to have a calm experience. She has a sweet dog “Chucky”, and she also has a cool cat “Ray Ray”, whom she adopted from Salt River. Theresa enjoys hiking, boating, swimming, and being outdoors. She also enjoys providing her life/work partner, AKA Dr. B, with daily to-do lists.
Alexandra currently attends Brescia University and plans to graduate in the Fall, 2022 with a Bachelor Degree in Biology. She loves hanging out with animals, especially her rabbit, “Bearcat”.

After graduating he plans on going to Veterinary School. Daniel enjoys movies, reading, and spending time with friends.
